If you would like to send an article to Anti-Shurtugal, please take note of the following guidelines:
1.) Word or (in the absence of word) text format. In other words, .doc or .txt extensions.
2.) BE CONSISTENT. If you decide to bold and underline all your headings, BOLD AND UNDERLINE ALL YOUR HEADINGS. Same with subheadings. If you want your quotes centered, make 'em centered.
3.) No special characters. No tiny, unique fonts, or anything that would possibly not translate well to HTML.
4.) No special colouring. We have our own scheme here, which largely consists of...shades of grey. We will colour in your quotes and such for you, although it would help to label them appropriately so it's easier to go through. (i.e. prefer a seperated chunk of quote rather than integrated into another paragraph).
5.) Please watch your spacing. We don't indent normal paragraphs, but if there's a particular case where you want something indented--USE THE TAB KEY. Don't put lots and lots of random spaces. Use the ENTER key to make a new paragraph. Put one space between words. Put one line between paragraphs...you can put two for new sections and so on.
6.) Please watch your grammar, spelling, and punctuations.
7.) Articles don't have to be particularly PG-13 but please avoid rude, deflammatory, or basically insulting words.
8.) We do not accept articles involving Shurtugal.com. We also prefer articles to be related to Paolini--self 'praising' articles would probably no longer be allowed by the Hackslayer.
Article or Rant?
We currently have two sections you can submit to. Articles that seek to make a point--such as that of grammar or a particular inconsistency--will go to the articles section. You are still allowed to make rants but they will have to go to the rant section.
