The wait is over, and the pain game of reading another Inheritance book begins! Check back in the next few weeks for new articles on Brisingr. If we haven’t, you know, gouged our eyes out or anything.

The staff has recently learned that a few people are vandalizing copies of Inheritance in bookstores by scribbling the URL to our site all over the pages.
This is not fucking cool, people.
This is not fucking cool at all. Firstly, it has never been the intention, purpose, or goal of AS to deter people from reading Inheritance, Twilight, or any other book series we criticize, nor have we ever or will we ever condone vandalism of the books. We fully believe people should read what they want. Our point with this site is to give our opinions on bad books, not to prevent people from reading them. And frankly, if people didn’t read the books before visiting our site, they wouldn’t know what the hell we’re prattling on about.
Secondly, it makes us and anyone who agrees with us look bad. Vandalizing books is the worst way to convince people that our opinions have merit. It makes us look like what so many Inheritance fans accuse us of being — a hate site run and followed by petty, immature people. We are not that. We do not want to be that.
In case my disgusted manner hasn’t gotten the message across, we here at AS do not condone those who are vandalizing these books. In fact, we strongly disapprove of even placing a note in between the pages to dissuade potential readers. If you’re reading this right now, please, stop it. You are only dirtying the reputation of anyone who has ever considered themselves a part of AS, and making yourself look like a dumbass in the process.

We have an update! First off, we have three new articles, two Inheritance-related and one writing-related:

Within a couple of weeks, we should have a few more Inheritance articles out, so keep your eyes peeled.
In other news, we’ve set up a newsletter system, so if you want to sign up to receive an email every time we have updates, now is your chance. Simply email antishurtugal at gmail dot com with a subject line of “Newsletter” and we’ll get you set up.

Hey guys,
We have a new update pending–if I have my way, it’ll be up this weekend sometime, but it may not happen until the early part of next week, depending on things. A few new articles will be released, and a newsletter option will be set up, to allow for notification of site updates.
Speaking of which, site updates should be occuring a lot more regularly, now. We’ve done a bit of pre-planning this time around, and have enough articles planned (and partially written) to last us a while, and since we have blog software now, it’ll be a much easier update process. So, even if you don’t sign up for the (theoretical) newsletter, if you check back a few times a month, you’ll see a lot of work going on.
Also, there have been numerous comments regarding the whereabouts of the Epistler.
I regret to inform you all that the Epistler is no longer with us.
For various reasons, he has asked that we remove his articles.
Fortunately, most of the relevant material will be written into some of our new articles.

Hi everyone!
I’d like to take the time to welcome you to the new and improved Anti-Shur’tugal website. Some of you (though not even close to most of you) have heard rumors of updates being in the pipes–and here it is! We have been working hard since about May to get this up for everyone.
Basically, we’ve implemented a blog software which will make it much easier to update, as Fragon won’t have to do all the work. This will enable each staff member to update with news, articles, and other media as frequently as we can.
We have also totally rewritten the content. Old articles have been revamped to include more sources, more analysis, and new
arguments. New articles have been written and will be systematically posted over the next several weeks.
In addition to all that, we have two or three other projects still in the pipes, which will hopefully all be revealed before Christmas.
Please don’t mind our construction dirt, though. Things are still being moved and shifted and test-driven until we find out what works. We appreciate your patience and hope to see everyone around here more often.
