Here are a few sites with loads of writing information that should help you out in your endeavours. Please note that some information may be contradictory to what's been posted here, and that's in fact normal--writers have different viewpoints and things that work out for them, and particularly if the tips here aren't working for you, you may find others that will. The important thing to remember is to keep an open mind and absorb as much information as you can.

Holly Lisle's Site - Holly Lisle, fantasy writer, has a LOT of tips to help you out, whether you're just starting or about to start sending your manuscripts out. Her information on agents and publishers and so on are invaluable.

Limyaael's Rants - These are the web-renowned rants of Limyaael. They are mostly fantasy based and contain MORE information than we can ever hope to achieve with this website. Please, please, read through them, they're precious gems.

Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America - An organization dedicated to sci-fi and fantasy.
